From this unique heritage comes Barone Rotondo, the contemporary Aglianico del Vulture that celebrates its roots while looking to the future.
The Cantina del Barone, once a 17th-century snow cellar carved into volcanic rock and entrusted in the 19th century to Baron Nicola Rotondo, is today the most intimate heart of the Paternoster Estate.
Reborn as the Caveau of Aglianico, it becomes a treasure chest of memory, a place where science and magic meet – complementing the Paternoster Winery, dedicated to production and research.
From this heritage of history and fascination comes the new wine Barone Rotondo, the highest expression of Aglianico del Vulture in a contemporary key.
Produced from historic vineyards at six hundred meters above sea level and the result of meticulous, manual viticulture, it ages for years in wood, steel, and bottle before revealing itself with both elegance and power.
A rare wine – only 2,500 bottles – that translates into the glass the same dialogue between roots and future that guided the restoration of the Cantina del Barone.
